The Confusing World of Senior Care Terms

I am always amazed at how industry specific jargon and acronyms pervade marketing efforts and conversations with non industry members and lay persons. The senior care industry, our industry is probably as guilty as any and it creates a real problem for marketers and consumers alike.

At Elmwood Terrace we want to continue being a resource in the community we serve and part of that service is helping make sense of old terms and new. Part of that service is also keeping our community and audience informed about clinical DNR-Chump-Dont-Want-The-Help_39689-l (2)news as well as the confusing and ever changing world of our legislation when it comes to medicare and medicaid and private insurance. The plan is to start knocking these out herein in alphabetical order but we reserve the right to go off track where need be or where news warrants.

Ok folks from DNRHIPAA to SLF and SNF we hope you find this helpful. For sure as we all are either dealing with aging grandparents aging parents and or our aging selves it is well past time to try to make this a little easier on us all. Stay Tuned…..
